So... this is the most ridiculous thing ever, but last night my cat got locked in my office, fell asleep on my router, drooled on it, and apparently killed it. I'm leeching internet from a neighbor, but it's tetchy and I have to sit in kind of an awkward place to get it. So I'm still around, but tags from me might be slow until we get the router replaced. Please be patient with me? ♥

HEY Y'ALL my name is Madi and I am sure I know some of you, but not all. I am new here, bringing my favorite Arendish knight Mandorallen from David Eddings' The Belgariad. He is extraordinarily brave, noble, and sincere, speaks in florid, outdated archaisms, and has almost no common sense to speak of. He's from a fairly obscure canon, admittedly, so if you're curious I encourage you to check out his app. He's in EA-2B and he will be so pleased to make everyone's acquaintances.

Drowned Ophelia, or just Ophelia, is from the Tim Schafer game Brütal Legend, which is basically what happens when you throw a bunch of heavy metal albums and a little LSD in a blender and hope for the badassest. She's dark-natured, mostly evil, very gloomy, and dead, which she will be making constant mention of at all times because that's her Thing. She's not a very happy person, but she does have a sweet guitar that she's pretty good at playing. There's plenty more tl;dr available on her app if you're interested.

Greetings, all! It's Jae, bringing you Triela Hilshire of Gunslinger GIrl. She's a human-looking girl of about fifteen who is almost entirely synthetic, and has been brainwashed and trained into functioning as a government employed assassin. :|

For those of you I don't know well/at all yet, hi! I also play Steve Rogers and Karrin Murphy, though I've been falling down a bit on their tags thanks to the busy time of year at my job hitting near the end of August. I'll be honest, most of my tagging will probably happen on the weekends until September's end, so I'm more than happy to hash out what our characters are doing if you need to know for a later thread! Just send me a PM via any of my characters' journals.

OKAY NOW THE MOST IMPORTANT PART... Triela, as part of the cyborgification/brainwashing process, has to take a drug that maintains her conditioning and regulates her emotional and mental processes, basically. So this introduction also serves as a kind of plotting post, as she has only an emergency kit on her - at best, she can stretch what she has over a two week period without starting to feel the more severe side effects of withdrawal. From her app:

Symptoms of withdrawal from the drug are similar to withdrawal symptoms from painkillers, with the additional risk of violent outbursts.

Her arrival on Tu Vishan is going to overbalance her world. She might be a comparatively free thinker, but she's still conditioned, still used to having requirements to meet and a schedule to stick to. She's used to constant supervision, orders, structure. Having none of that is going to first make her uneasy and then terrify her. Combined with the fact that she'll only have - as per canon - an emergency stock of the pills that maintain her emotional and mental stability and her conditioning, her mental state will probably deteriorate fast either within or after the first two weeks.

It could mean one of several things: a sort of amnesia, where she temporarily forgets she was anywhere before Tu Vishan and it becomes a sort of substitute Agency; she may latch on to someone as a surrogate 'handler' and insist on protecting and (to some degree) obeying them; or, she'll go berserk, and start picking and killing targets based on their similarities to her former victims.

In truth it'll probably be some combination of the three. SO, thoughts? Potential seedlings of CR-plotty-things? In all likelihood, she would primarily target kedan gang members, not player characters, but I'm more than willing/happy to have people intervene.

Hey there! :D My name is Sage, and I'm completely new. I'm bringing you Cassandra Cain, of DC Comics. (AKA Batgirl, but she's got mixed feelings on that atm.)

Cass was raised to be an assassin (and by 'raised' I mean 'isolated in complete silence and able to interact through nothing but fighting') but she ran away after her first hit. After wandering for years, she was basically adopted by Oracle and Batman, and used her skills to defend people while she learned how to be an actual person.

It's been a few years, but she's still learning. Help her do that, Keeliai . :> (Don't be a douche about it, though, she will drop kick you.)

Cass is coming from near the end of her series - after her second death, before Lady Shiva dunks her in the Lazarus Pit. So she'll be pretty sure she's dead, at least for a bit.

I also have a Permissions Post for her. Basically, she can read body language like you can read this post. Let me know how cool you are with that/if it wouldn't work with your character!

Hi, game! I'm Dash and I am coming in with Amon aka Noatak aka Biggest Hypocrite

Amon hails from Avatar: The Last Airbender's sequel series, The Legend of Korra. He can kinetically control water and the blood inside of a persons's body because that's a thing he does. And also something he despises -- it's complicated. In his spare time he likes to practice his skills in stage make-up and over turning governments. He's very multifaceted.
