The kedan are downright excited to have so many newcomers joining them in Keeliai and there is no better way to show this than to hold a city-wide festival to celebrate and introduce the foreigners to their fair city and grand turtle. Coordinated (and fully financed) by Lieuen ([personal profile] hazelwood), there will be a six-day festival rotating through the Sectors to exhibit the best qualities of each!

Expect all manner of activities to crop up, from games and friendly competitions to one-day fairs and dancing to plenty of food and drinking (age appropriate). All Sectors will have areas for the crafting of paper lanterns, which will be used to decorate each area and then shall be collectively lit on the final day of the festival. Discounts on purchases will abound and each character will, if they have not spent it, have their initial allowance of twenty juulan for spending at their discretion. In addition to this, there will be a scattering of prizes given out in each Sector (lists of available prizes will be made available each day).

Curious about specifics? Events will be Sector-specific, but one might expect vehicle racing in Metal or boating and swimming challenges in Water. The final day will see some cross-sector efforts coming together, such as a hedgemaze built between Earth and Wood, for the enjoyment of all. From the competitive to the benign, there will be something for everyone!

All kedan and foreigners are reminded to behave themselves during the festival, for the police presence will be increased to promote peaceful celebrations. Scuffles or criminal activities are more likely to be investigated and there will be rumours that Evandau himself is visiting each Sector's festival to be certain that nothing untoward happens. Some kedan might even be caught gossiping about the potential that the Ironwood Emperor herself may make an appearance in a show of goodwill and to welcome the guests.

The event will ICly be kicked off August 3rd by a network announcement by Lieuen explaining that there will be a festival featuring each of the Sectors, starting with Earth and rotating clockwise through the map until Fire on the fifth day. The sixth and final day will be a celebration across all Sectors, including the lighting of lanterns that will be made and decorated in each Sector as the festivities progress though the areas.

OOCly, the event will be coordinated through open, party-style logs posted in [community profile] tushanshu_logs each day from the [personal profile] hazelwood account. These posts will contain details about the Sector's specific events for that day, the prizes that characters might win by joining in the various festivities. From there, party on and thread however you like, with the understanding that events occur throughout the day and most races have two or three slotted times, meaning plenty of opportunity for everyone to get involved at player discretion and coordination.

Network and other log posts are welcome throughout the festival, of course! The majority of the action will likely take place in the party-style logs, but the point above all is to get out there and have fun!

Do you have any questions about the event? Feel free to bring them up here and we'll answer them to the best of our abilities!

Hi guys, I am Sarah and I forgot to do this originally, whoops. I'll be bringing in this guy here, York, from Red vs Blue. He's a pretty chill guy, all things considered, that comes from the future, which is full of aliens and explosions and crazy AI. Good stuff. I haven't RP'ed in a game in a while so I'm looking forward to it- let me know if you want to plot or do things, as he'll get along with most anyone, and I'm pretty much up for anything at all.

He's coming from (spoilers?) just before his death and for those of you who know his canon, he's actually alive, which is pretty cool for him. :) I can be reached at "chii is a pedo" or "chiiaro" on AIM, and bubbled.teas at gmail. com for those of you who want to do that. Thaaaat's about it for the latest intro ever.
