Hi everyone, Mari here! For those of you who don't know me, I play Wanda Lehnsherr/Scarlet Witch from Marvel's Ultimate-verse and my OC, Bryn Zethir from Askoupur.

After months of working a variety of jobs in Keeliai, Bryn has decided she wants to open/run a tavern/pub type business. It will be foreigner owned and run and located near the center of the city so that it will be an equal distance from all of the foreigners. This place will serve both foreigners and locals alike, though Bryn's hope is that it will become a go-to spot for the foreigner population and allow people to meet and interact off-network.

The establishment would feature:

Alcoholic and non-alcholic drinks
Food (as simple or as complex as whoever takes on the kitchens can manage)
A room for smoking/hookah/etc.
A billiards table or any other sort of bar-game type activities/games
A stage for live music

This place will be considered open to characters of all ages, though of course alcoholic beverages will not be served to anyone significantly underage.

But that's not all!

1. A business like this will have several job opportunities available. This includes full-time, part-time, and one-time jobs, from bartending, cooking, dishwashing/table bussing, and book keeping, to helping renovate the interior, paint the sign outside, etc. If you'd like your character to be hired on for steady or one-time jobs, let me know in the threadstarter below!

2. There are also opportunities for anyone who can help provide for the business with it's food and drinks needs, especially those of you with shady underground connections!

3. This place needs a name! To make this a little more fun, what we're going to do is take OOC nominations below, and then as part of the promotion for the new business, let the voting happen opening night which means yes, your characters get to help decide the name of the place!

Henry Knows People. He's also willing to invest some dosh in the bar to help Bryn get set up...which will of course lead to an insufferable deluge of opinions on how she should decorate.

Arthur also has some shady underground connections that he will be happy to put at Bryn's disposal! And/or he can also be contracted out for security stuff, i.e. cctv or just helping hire bouncers.

The real question here is, will helping her out earn him a discount???? ;)

Costigan works for both Henry and Arthur, plus has some kedan contacts of his own. He wouldn't really volunteer to work there or anything, but he'll probably be seen around through the others (helping with supply, security, what not).

EVENT / THEME NIGHT IDEAS

The bar will probably host an event or theme night every so often. If you've got ideas we'd all love to hear them!

"Native costume" theme night, where everyone dresses as close to what they'd wear to a bar/party at home as they can. You'd want enough lead time that the handful of people with sewing skills could meet the demand from people who haven't already had stuff made or found it during a landfall.

So obviously our characters haven't even met, but like we discussed earlier I think Lex would really want to nose around and make sure this project gets as good a chance to succeed as possible. He'll offer himself up to read, review, draw out business plans (and other stuff I don't know about whoops) and generally hassle folk about doing their work well until the place gets up and runnin'.
