test drive!

Itching to try out writing a character? Then rev up your engines, grab your accounts, and slam your way into this meme! Here is a venue for you to try out whatever character there might be tickling your fancy, from fandom to OC, for as few as one and as many as MANY. Seriously, there's no limit.
How do you partake in this fantastic congregation of character testing? Why, by following these simple steps:
- Comment with the journal of a character you want to test; put their name and canon in the subject line for added sparkles.
- Tag around with everyone!
- Profit like you live on a the back of a turtle!
But wait, there's more! For the low, low price of $9,999.99, you can even use one of our handy prompts when you tag someone. You could even pick one with a Random Number Generator to help decide which prompt to go with!
- A Chance Meeting at the Turtle's Head.
Remember, being here causes a great sense of-- well, shall we say inner peace. - Haggling Over Something in the Marketplace!
Maybe someone else saw the exact same shiny thing you did at the exact same moment! However shall this be resolved? Remember: blood is extremely hard to scrub off of turtleshell! - Hey, I Just Met You, and This is Crazy...
First impressions are always the most important, right? - WILDCARD!
Go nuts. Suddenly your character is fighting dragons! Good God, they've found the Millennium Falcon drifting in the ocean! Do you really feel the need to polish every paving stone in the Earth Sector? Please note, Wildcard options are also what you can choose to do if you aren't yet comfortable in the Tu Shanshu setting and would prefer a more 'dear-mun' esque experience. Please specify in your post!

Nonetheless when the shopkeeper returned she followed his advice and with two Foreigners standing there, the price was reluctantly backed down to normal rates and Raven paid for her purchase before turning back to Victor.
"Thank you," she said while tucking the bagged tea leaves into the box. "You're...?"

He smiled when everything was sorted out, glad to have helped. He'd been cheated before by some of the shopkeepers so he'd been keeping a closer eye on them than when he first arrived.
"You're welcome but you don't need to thank me," he replied. "I'm Victor," he replied, offering his normal hand.

"Raven," she returned, taking his hand; her grip was firm, the shake perfunctory in its shortness. "You must have been here for a while to spot something like that happening."

"Are there any other shops you can recommend who treat non-natives more fairly?" she asked instead.

"Most of them won't try to cheat you but generally you'll do better closer to the palace and closer to the guards," he replies with a little smile. "Looking for anything specific?'

"A replacement for my usual herbal teas," Raven answered as they moved away from the market stall. "The housing I was assigned didn't have any in the included supplies."
Not that she probably wouldn't have gone out to get her own anyway.

"If it's teas and herbs you're after, the Fire Sector is your best bet. It's got all sorts of places that sells stuff like that. Just need to be careful of the uh...red light district type places," he replied with an awkward little laugh.

Plus she can put them through a concrete wall at 100 paces.

"There's also a shop or two in the Water Sector that does teas and stuff so you can try there if the ones in the Fire Sector don't have anything you want."
