a wild teal deer appears!

How to play? Reply to this post with the characters you play, people will then reply to you asking 'What does X think of my character Y?' then zoom around and ping other people in the same manner to generate some CR chatter! This is a good way to see where your current CR stands and what your characters secretly think of each other.

Oh god. Where to start. Arthur really adores Kaldur, he pretty much liked him from the first conversation. He's intelligent, he's responsible, he's mature, he's skilled, and he's respectful, but at the same time, he's a lot happier when Kaldur opens up with him some, and tells a joke or makes a sarcastic comment or laughs with him, because those are the ways Arthur knows to show affection. He knows he isn't Kaldur's mentor, not exactly, but he wants to be there for him as much as possible, at least until his actual Aquaman shows up, if ever. He doesn't want Kaldur to have to face everything alone and without an Atlantean support system, because teams are great, but there are some things that surfacers just don't GET. He basically considers Kaldur family. He'd be on his way to considering him a son if Kaldur didn't already have a father still, which is another point that Arthur is all awkward on, because... Kaldur doesn't need him like that, not like Garth and Lorena did. He's not sure exactly how to handle it, but he's doing his best because he wants to make Kaldur feel at home with them even if they aren't from exactly the same world. It doesn't really matter, because they're all still Atlantean, and as long as he's Aqualad, he's part of Arthur's family and Arthur would die for him if it came down to that, without a second thought. He doesn't really like the thought of Bruce being the one overseeing their team, just because he only knows his world's Bruce, and he knows that if Bruce ever put Kaldur into danger that he couldn't handle ("that he couldn't handle" being the key part, because he knows Kaldur is capable of a lot and doesn't feel the need to coddle him), there would probably be blood. Don't fuck with Papa Shark's kids.
BUCKY AND TORO:
OH GOD KAT YOU'VE PRETTY MUCH HEARD ALL MY SOBBING INVADERS FEELINGS. Toro is pretty much Bucky's best friend besides Steve, and Steve is more like his older brother at the same time, so it's different. But Toro is the first friend his own age he ever really had since he grew up around a bunch of grown men and all the kids around the base he was pretty much just beating the shit out of. They fought a lot at first, and they still do argue, but Bucky would jump in front of a bullet for Toro (because we are not doing that again, pal, NOPE) without a second thought. He's still a giant jerk to Toro sometimes but... he really doesn't know how to be anything else. His friendship is deep and unconditional, and he's insanely loyal to Toro, but he doesn't know how to be sensitive and not push people out of jeeps. :T So his friendship is also a little painful. But Toro puts up with him and cares about him and stands up for him, and he's really appreciative of that, even if he doesn't know how to show it. Toro and Steve and the Invaders are basically all the family he's got, since he hasn't seen his sister in eight years, and that's a huge deal to Bucky. Basically he and Toro are best friends and it just comes so easily, and he wouldn't have it any other way. He doesn't want to ever lose him, but he doesn't think he will - he's secure enough that he knows that Toro will never abandon or betray him, and that basically means the world to him.
