DAMN I wrote a whole thing but then lost it.

OK so Bean likes Kyle... which is weird b/c Bean doesn't like adults. But maybe since Kyle approached him as a fellow soldier and an equal rather than an authority figure, Bean doesn't see him as such. Which isn't to say he doesn't have a tremendous amount of respect and awe for what Kyle can do, from what he's seen (the couch, the gun, and the book!). I can't wait for more of them.

Bean was SO CONFUSED by Superman at first because 1) weirdo name and 2) what the hell is a metahuman, am I one? and things are only going to get better once he meets him as Clark. He will become a puzzle for Bean to figure out, and Bean likes puzzles more than he likes people. But anyway, he's grateful to Supes for confirming the genetic mutation and explaining turtle things. He's def. interested in hearing more about Superman's world and life and what led him to creating this persona.

Not dumb! Just huge culture shock! Bean knew a Chinese kid or two in school, but they all spoke Common/Battle School slang, not Chinese, and while he knows many languages, he's never had to explain the alphabet before.

He's super grateful to her for her offers to help, and for the food. Even if only he will eat it, that still frees up more food for Ender and for the homeless people they give half their rations to.

I'm super looking forward to training with Korra and to Cora's first text post!

Bean likes Gavroche, but he doesn't understand how he's so enthusiastic and happy, because none of the street kids Bean knew were ever like that. He's a bit jealous, thinking maybe his old life would have been better if he was from Gavroche's time/world. He knows he's (a lot) smarter than Gavroche, but he's happy to play along in exchange for gamin info. In short, PLZ CONTINUE TO LEAD US, OH GAMIN GENIUS.

They haven't really interacted much, but Bean has read Leo's Net posts (because Bean reads every Net post) and is just like "WHAT IS THIS CAREFREE ENERGY?" i.e. you are an enigma to him, sir. And clearly a genius, from the hoverboard interaction. Bean kind of wants to collect him like a Pokémon and make him make Bean things and teach him how to fun.

Bean's personal interactions with Javert are just beginning, but he's seen him around the Network, and thinks of him as your typical Authority Figure, which Bean tends not to like, but he'll play his game if it gets him work, because Bean is bored out of his tiny mind doing nothing all day. Julian is intrigued by Robin and looks forward to finding out more about him. Bean enjoys Damian's company, and sees a lot of himself in the other boy. Ender asked Bean if there's anything he should know about Damian before meeting him and Bean kind of blanked before saying "he's a lot like me." alksdljl so there's that. Also now that Bean knows Bruce a bit, he is jealous of Damian for having family on the turtle, even if the family seems a bit distant (tbh Bean's ideal sort of family, gives you space to do your own thing).
