Basically -- Inara's really drawn to him and even I can't 100% explain why. I think it's because of his whole demeanor; the way you've got him portrayed is this really perfect balance of adorable awkward that has her amused but this really...secretive and ~*mysterious*~ thing too that's got her really interested. It's not exactly that she's nosy so much in this case as it is she feels like there's something deep, deep down inside of him that she can maybe help with. She knows she can't hug every cat and help every single damn person, but she DOES know that her skillset can be of use in a lot of other ways than just physical intimacy, and she's kind of...honed in on this mysteriously interesting dude.

Definitely seeing them get closer, especially if she keeps casually hitting him up for tea and lunch and things like that :D

She's spot on, honestly. There is so much going on under the surface with him, and he needs all the help he can get, LOL. They're really a perfect example of what a Companion does without the physical relationship part. If it were more like talk therapy he'd resist it with every fiber of his being, but her just, compassionately listening gets to him.

Okay, it started as serious flirtation because that's how they both roll, but then it seemed to evolve into a really solid friendship that kind of...transcends physical boundaries? It's really awesome because they're both people who can take intimacy and separate it and still remain friends. Inara also really...likes the whole not having to get paid for it. She seriously hasn't just let go and done that in a long time and Finnick is really, really good for her. She really likes him a lot, tbh :}

Peggy is turning into one of Inara's closest friends on the turtle. She really likes spending time with her, and now that they've kind of had a chance to do that with the events etc, she's becoming more and more fond of her. Inara's pretty careful about who she trusts, and Peggy is worming her way into that tight little circle. :>

Anyway, Inara's interested in Dean because of what he said about hiring someone like her in a heartbeat a few years ago but now he'd have to think - she's curious about why. She's not so much feeling rejected because Companions aren't for everyone, but she is really curious about why he said that. She's the kind of person that, like I said to Bruce, isn't nosy so much as it's a desire deep down inside of her to help people. It's part of her own coping mechanism, since she's slowly dying 8]

Inara really likes Arthur a lot; they've had enough interaction for me to be able to say that honestly. She thinks he's a nice guy, he works hard, and he runs an honest business (that she's aware of). She's glad for his help in keeping her House secure, and definitely intends to continue working with him for as long as he's around.
