OKAY SO I was going through some of my tags this morning and perusing the comms when I realized I LITERALLY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IS GOING ON IN THE GAME RIGHT NOW. I missed the event (I was in Houston, things just didn’t line up and I’m easily distracted anyway) and I’m realizing that not only do I not know what’s going on in-game I have no idea what’s going on with Inara’s Companion House.

Basically, the House is open and taking clients. Some characters she’s spoken with and some she hasn’t.

This is what I need to know:

If you want your character to be utilizing the House, comment here and we’ll chat about the interview process, etc.

If you want your character to be a Companion in Training, same thing. I’ll judge based on what she’d know ICly of the character and how the interview might have gone.

If your character is involved in the House OTHER than a Companion (security, accounting, janitorial, etc) let me know.

If you WANT to be involved in any way, let me know and we’ll figure it out.

Basically this is a handwave CR post with Cat cause she’s sucked the past two months.

As someone who recently returned from a month long hiatus and knows how much it sucks to feel lost, please allow me to help:

→ Awhile back, there was a Spa Day in which everyone felt super peaceful for a day.

→ The turtle was visiting peoples' dreams as well (couldn't find a link for that, sorry).

→ Then a satellite crashed. It rained tech debris everywhere and also released aliens that possessed people and could only be killed by electricity. (Log).

→ Bruce Banner and others are working on a garden.

→ Then this dude Iorveth posted about "Malicant" coming (it's not common knowledge, but fairly easy to learn if you investigate, I think). Una Persson also knows about it. I honestly haven't read it all, but the gist is that it's a super invincible evil monster being that can look like anything, can't be killed, and is going to murder everyone. So that's fun (and an upcoming plot in June, I believe).

Also pertinent to your interests, I know that Eames and Cobb dropped. Not sure who else may have. But, of course, we also got a bunch of awesome new peeps.

To my knowledge, fairly consistent (in that they're slowly getting worse). The garden is helping to improve relations, but they're still pretty terrible. I'm not sure of any specific changes that may have resulted from the satellite.

For my personal involvement, Costigan is doing security with Arthur, which I would love to include the House if Arthur's involved, but he wouldn't offer his services without Arthur being involved, so.. not sure on that?

I'd also like Hayley to talk to Inara at some point, but I can wait for a post or she has a post up if you're willing (and have time) to tag that. :] If you're still super busy, though, that can always happen later, so don't stress it.

lmao oh Bucky. If you want, Inara has about three kedan under her. She likes Bucky and would've interviewe him extensively and explained everything it is to be a Companion. If he was actually serious she'd have set him up for training with one of her girls (things like conversation dancer etc first). He'd have to 'graduate' for some mclovin XD

Ohhh for the record, Bucky was with Favrielle when she made her rounds around the pleasure houses in Keeliai, too, some of them might know him from there/then.

Awesome! Do you know how often he'd request and if he would want her specifically or one of her girls or would it matter?

He's mostly interested in Inara specifically (he likes her and she made a good impression on him), and about once a week at most. (Right now he's injured and recuperating from being possessed and electrocuted (!) at home and has been for about a week and a half. He would have sent a message to let her know that he was indisposed.)

Bruce more than anyone would probably benefit from being a client, in the order of sitting around and talking about his feelings to someone who would quietly not judge or impose expectations. Because he has no clue how to be open with people and damn is he bad at socialization.

But he'd never think of it, so she'd have to bring it up. LOL And then endure all of his extreme awkward about it. BUT I THOUGHT I'D BRING IT UP BECAUSE THE THOUGHT ENTERTAINS ME.

You know, since she thinks of him as a friend she might just...casually keep setting up tea dates and take it upon herself to be his personal therapist XD

If he thought it was anything like therapy he'd make a huge argument out of it and dig in his heels. But if he was clueless then... I think it'd work! And in return she'd get a protective Hulk? idk if she wants that, lol

That's what she'd do XD just keep casually contacting him and having him over for things. Tea, lunch, that kind of thing. Because of some of the hints he's dropped she knows there's some...issues. Maybe because he feels like he's almost a kindred spirit? Idk XD

He'd probably be best as a client, just because... Well, look at him. He'd totally just hang out and talk though instead of anything more.

He could also probably be janitorial or maintenance staff possibly, but he sadly hadn't spoken with Inara much yet.
