[That's Raimei. Always confronting people with things head on regardless of their wishes. But in this case she really did want his opinion, because he's one of her very few friends, and she's trying to consider other people's feelings before just unilaterally deciding to put all that aside and live here.

It's also that putting it aside is, in itself, extremely difficult. Raimei had never spent much time in the surface world, and this isn't even that.

But she smiles widely at him anyway, happy to see him happy. That small smile is more than enough from him.] No problem! And it's sort of a relief, right? Miharu is just Miharu. Maybe you can do something for yourself while you're here.

[ He nods. And then, completely deadpan: ]

Maybe I can open an okonomiyaki shop?

[ Is he serious? Pro...bably... In this sort of a situation he's falling back on all his defaults. He needs his comfort zone. ]

[The idea instantly makes her so excited that she drops what she's doing and lurches forward to put her hands on his shoulders.]

Yes! I'll find one for you! Don't worry, I'll make it all work!

[Because Raimei really doesn't feel like she's existing unless she has something to do that supports her friends.]

[ WOAH SPACE, RAIMEI. He's a tiny bit surprised at the sudden closeness, but doesn't show it. And then it's okay because it's just Raimei. ]

Okay. I'll look into it too.

[ Would people really be willing to let a kid run a shop? Maybe, this is a weird place. It might be a little fun, actually. And it'll keep him busy. ]

[She's been maybe a little desperate to keep her only connection from home, when Raimei takes isolation so hard, and doesn't make genuine friends as quickly as she convinces people she does. The way she responds to this isn't by being clingy, but by, rather typically for her, latching onto doing things for him.

And she's just generally always worried about Miharu, because she doesn't understand him very well and that means she's never sure what she can do. This, she can do.]
