I guess they figured living in harmony with us wasn't cutting it, so they'd try something else. [ not the brightest idea but if they were here first and the kedan showed up, would they be acting any better? to be told that more foreigners could save you and then get let down and lose a decent portion of your food source in addition to that? ]

The computer that looks like it's part of the building? How does that even work, anyway? I mean, I got the whole "fake internet" explanation but a laptop'd be a little more convenient that something stuck in the wall.

He's from another species? [ whoa whoa whoa. she's going to have to be specific here. an extra hand? purple skin? no, maybe green. that would explain the streaks. actually, it wouldn't. girls never make any sense. ] The kedan are shapeshifters, so you made the drawing pool so much bigger.

[ he's definitely misunderstanding her. his own sister is from another time period and they have completely different mothers. they don't look related at all. ]

And your first clue that they cared about convenience was. . .? [ no, go on. he wants to hear. ] It just does. I didn't ask. I was too busy trying to track down my own sister. They walked me through the basics and that was all I needed to know. The technology, or magic, doesn't matter that much. I think the closest you'll get to something easier would be training birds to be like carrier pigeons.

Maybe in passing. [ he hasn't but putting doctor in front of his name makes him sound important. who knows? maybe it came up once or twice. ] My history lessons tend to be more focused on Greece.

[ Nico gestures with his head that they start walking, if only because the merchants are making him uncomfortable. they can't walk more than a few steps without having products shoved into their faces or being stared at like if they take their eyes off of Sadie or Nico for even a second, something might go missing. ] Hazel Levesque. Just in case I run into her. There were a lot of other people with me when I woke up in that palace so she might've shown up.

When I arrived, I didn't get a chance to look around. Did you see anything in the palace?

Nothing, really, except a lot of panicking people and grumpy kedan. I think I saw a lot of hallways, but that's pretty standard for giant palaces I think.
