[He's been deliberating on what to do for a couple of hours now. Just leave her alone? It seems kinda cruel, Melanie's the only person from his world here as far as he can tell and she's always made a decent go of being a good person for the most part. Can't exactly just hang her out to dry. Besides, she'd figure out Terry was here sooner or later, which is why he's not coming to her as Batman, instead sidling up towards her in the marketplace with his backpack slung over a shoulder.]

[Melanie has been spending her time looking at the products offered a small stand - jewelry, mostly. She may not be with her family anymore, but that doesn't mean she doesn't still enjoy some luxury now and then. The only difference is that she has to pay for it now, which is fine by her.

She pauses when she hears Terry's voice. It's hard to not feel happy that he's here... Melanie does care for him, after all. Except he doesn't care about her. Her previous talk with Batman made that clear enough. She debates whether or not she should even bother with this. Still, Terry's the only person here that she actually knows, which is probably why he decided to talk to her in the first place.]
