[ If he knew about Jackson, his demeanor may have changed from the almost mocking way he tipped the massive helmet to the way he stepped back slightly, pulling from his pockets a sharp knife. A part of his arsenal attached to his side.

He'd never been unprepared for this, and his heart thudded in his chest, excitement and adrenaline flowing and pumping. A heady drug. ]

[He doesn't really want to cause a scene, but he can he really just let Manta walk off? Who knows how many kedan children there are here, and who knows what Manta will do to get to Arthur? There's a prison here, he knows; no doubt a better place for him than free among these people. Than free among his family.

He doesn't worry about Mera, he doesn't have to (honestly Manta is the one with cause to worry there, Mera is a lot less inhibited about killing), but he does worry about Garth and Kaldur. He won't lose them.]

[ He doesn't fear Aquaman, or who of his family may or may not show so much restraint. He never really cared about them, unless they were an avenue to hurt Aquaman. Perhaps Jackson, but there was something about fathers and sons that maybe Aquaman would understand, but Manta's obsession with his son was something altogether different.

Though some part of him would like to see Manta go up against Kaldur, Atlantean born and Atlantean trained all his life, when he's expecting Jackson, new to his powers and his name, but he won't let it go that far. Maybe he won't even have to answer some awkward questions about Kaldur's real parentage.]
