oh hello game! my name is doc, and i offer you all some old guy (thus raising the average age of the turtleboat by roughly eighty gazillion) from this series called wakfu. i'm basically twelve years old and enjoy cartoons for little french children way too much, so there you go.
qilby's the king of this long-lost race of people called eliatropes! you can tell an eliatrope by a) their ability to conjure up portals or b) their superb hats. he possesses both in spades.
besides that, he's kind and polite, scientifically inclined, and has got +9 skill in exposition. ask him, and he'll tell you all about his awesome sister who's a dragon. or he'll just talk about flowers or something else equally riveting. he's somewhat-recently been reintroduced to the world after having been off in another dimension for a good ten thousand years or so, so having a surprise vacation to another world full of fresh new faces is a little thrilling to say the least.
he'll be hanging out in the fire sector with the rest of the cool kids at FI-3C! and if you want to get in contact with me to plot or anything, totally add me on plurk at
drnolicense or just drop me a pm! cheers!

Oh my god, Crane as a GL villain. I NEVER REALIZED HOW MUCH I WANTED THAT UNTIL JUST THIS SECOND. Shrieeek.
I haven't been following the 52 for a variety of reasons but this also intrigues me. :|a How's the JLA stuff been so far?
God yeah, I definitely understand. Not that they're ever particularly clear on how long Ra's has been around. (Centuries? Millennia? WHO KNOWS. Certainly not the DC editorial team! I think sometimes they get him confused with Savage)

and i work at a comic shop, so 50% of my job is to follow everything ever, haha! JLA's only two issues in so far, but the second one had some funny moments... it's kind of set up as a second suicide squad for amanda waller, but made up of "heroes" who don't answer to any other group (and who won't die if they don't do what she says.) it's pretty clear there's going to be a JL vs. JLA clash sometime in the future.
52's got its really low points, but i hold that the stuff that's good is the stuff that didn't change all too radically after the reboot. all star western, for example, is one i look forward to each month, and that's because gray and palmiotti have basically been writing jonah hex since forever.
AHAHA, no you must be thinking of some OTHER guy with super crazy hair who's practically immortal and who has some hot daughter who's always defying him...
