CR With Me | March 2013

Hello, chelonauts! This marks the start of our six-week interval for CR With Me memes!
As usual, when plotting out any CR potential, please be as specific as you can! 'Our characters should go for coffee next week' is going to help establish an idea of what sort of CR you're looking for better than 'omg tag me.'
Mind that the form is still a bit different, including the two recently added sections titled "Current Status" for a summary of what your character's been up to and "CR Goals" for the plotting and discussion of gaps in your character's CR spectrum that you would like to fill! We've also added a bit for plotting regarding the upcoming Decay of Tu Vishan event and longterm impact (rationing).
CR With Me Form:
A reminder that the main portion of the Decay event will kick off March 19th, but there will be longterm effects felt all over Keeliai -- so feel free to plot into the future!
roy and company! (said company includes Brandon, Bruce, Aisha and Reid)
bruce wayne
CANON: DCU
PERSONALITY: Batman, vengeance, etc. By day he's a congenial, laid-back business-man, by night he's a petty, vengeance-driven douchebag.
CURRENT STATUS: Bruce has... actually been making character-related growth? WHICH IS LIKE. WEIRD? Or SOMETHING? This is pretty much the longest time he's ever gone in his entire adult life without pummelling a supervillain in the face and he's... adjusting to it and actually becoming a slightly better/marginally less pathetic person.
CR GOALS: I'd really like to build up some long-term close CR with people outside of his cast? Bruce has some really great cross-canon relationships, but they're hard to cultivate because he's an incredibly insular person, and I'd like to expand on the ones I have and strengthen the ties he's made in the last few months. I'd also like to forge some new ones? There are a couple ways to go about this – putting characters in a situation where they're forced to rely on one another, or starting out with casual conversations and building up over a longer period. If that sounds like something you'd be interested in, let me know? BRUCE IS VERY BAD AT BEING A SURLY LONER.
SCENE-DOS: I love writing action-based scenes, goal-oriented logs (actionspam or prose, I'm cool with either) and things that force Bruce to actually show his more compassionate side (I promise he has one it's just. Buried beneath layers of Issues). I can do slice of life things with him, but it's not my favourite thing, unless it's leading to a goal further down the line?
SCENE-DON'TS: I'll try p. much anything once.
THE DECAY OF TU VISHAN/RATIONING: Bruce already has a stockpile of items stashed across his various warehouses in Keeliai so nothing really there. He might be tempted to put on his public face and do some Planning By Committee type stuff if anyone's up for that? But I don't really like stuffing him into a leadership role when there are other characters that
aren't mod playedcould better suit that role.ADDITIONAL: One day he'll be a real boy. Until that day, he's going to just keep punching dudes in the face instead of dealing with his issues himself.

Also am thinking Bryn's been gophering for Bruce, but she'll probably only leave one copy of herself to work during the day and send the other two to work the fields just as a heads up.

Being a dick.

spencer reid
CANON: Criminal Minds
PERSONALITY: Reid is a genius with an eidetic memory. He's a sweetheart that likes halping people but isn't afraid to stand up for himself when/where it's necessary. He's got some issues of his own he deals with from time to time, the primary one being 'abandonment'. He's hit pretty hard without his team, which is something he's come to rely on a lot over almost a decade of working with them. :c
CURRENT STATUS: Reid has spent most of his time so far trying to learn anything he can about the turtle, while ignoring the fact that the husband of his BFF was here and he lost him. (No really, he blames himself for that like you wouldn't believe). He's keeping to himself a little not because it's in his nature but because he's used to having people who tug him out to do things and he lacks that safety net here. I'm pretty sure at some point he'll pop up and be like 'oh my god it's March how did this happen'.
CR GOALS: Honestly, Reid just needs friends. People who are outgoing and non-threatening are a big plus. Reid also gets protective of people younger than him that he can relate to or see himself in, since he was a Child Prodigy Genius and he knows the specific difficulties of growing up like that.
SCENE-DOS: Reid will ask questions about anything he's unfamiliar with, and if your characters are willing to sit down with him and talk about their worlds/magic/nature/etc he will absorb everything he can and
come back with a doctorate in the subjectlove every minute of it. However, that stuff can be a little tedious to write, so is probably best partially handwaved? Reid is my more slice-of-lifey character so anything that's kind of adorable or fluffy would be a-okay, but he can also do Action Reid things if necessary. (HE HAS A GUN. SOMETIMES HE EVEN KNOWS WHICH END TO HOLD)SCENE-DON'TS: As above, I'll try anything once.
THE DECAY OF TU VISHAN/RATIONING: Reid is going to be in the thick of everything trying to Solve Things. If your character needs a genius, give him a shout! He will absolutely be doing everything he can to help and he knows things like chemistry/engineering/etc.

aisha al-fadhil
CANON: The Losers
PERSONALITY: She considers acceptable jewelry to be human body parts. Ymmv.
CURRENT STATUS: Aisha is a hard-ass woman who's dealt with war in one capacity or other for three decades. She's sort of settled into poking/needling at people out of sheer boredom, and she'll pick apart any idealists that crop up when/where it suits her. She's. A mean lady.
CR GOALS: Basically I try to avoid throwing her at people I don't... know very well... because she's horribly offensive and a terrible, terrible person. However, I'd like for her to just cultivate casual ally-type people and anyone who's vaguely antagonistic in their own right she'd probably get along with if not respect. She also has a soft/protective spot for women. :c
SCENE-DOS: Antagonism? Need your character to get in a fight with someone? Aisha literally picks fights in canon 'Just Because'. She also likes to bro around with people who are revolutionaries/fuck the man types because that's her bag.
SCENE-DON'TS: No real slice of life with her, please. She doesn't do well in those sorts of scenes.
THE DECAY OF TU VISHAN/RATIONING: She isn't going to give a shit. TRY LIVING IN AFGHANISTAN DURING THE SOVIET WAR you pussies think this is rationing. (bah)
ADDITIONAL: She does have an opt-out post in her journal over here because there are a lot of elements of her character that could potentially be upsetting to people.

brandon sharpe
CANON: Marvel 616
PERSONALITY: Brandon is a teenaged jerk showboater who hides his issues behind his need to be a douchebag to everyone in a ten mile radius.
CURRENT STATUS: He's currently being a miserable shut-in because he finally broke things off with Stephanie by coming out to her. He's left his apartment like. Twice since. He's mired in self-hatred so deep it might as well be a bog. The sort of bog that's hiding human remains from ten thousand years ago.
CR GOALS: Brandon is kind of terrible at reaching out to people right now, so if anyone felt like dragging him out of his apartment and making him do things that would be awesome? He also needs... like... mentor-type-people that aren't going to put up with his shit (see: Nita and Inara)
SCENE-DOS: Anything where Brandon can actually be a decent human being would be awesome. He makes a good big-brother figure when a situation demands he push his own problems aside?
SCENE-DON'TS: Not up for any sort of romance/relationship thing with him in the foreseeable future.
THE DECAY OF TU VISHAN/RATIONING: He'll try and help out when/where he can, but he'll probably need some direction or he'll end up doing grunt work. Nevermind that he could probably power an entire sector by himself.
