OKAY SO REMEMBER THAT BOTCHED POST IORVETH MADE ABOUT 'THERE SOME SHIT THAT WILL KILL US' AFTER WHICH HE PROCEEDED TO BE A PARANOID DOUCHEBAG TO EVERYONE?

Well, there was a decent sized group of people he let know about what the Emperor told him - people he thought would be useful to a secretive kind of investigation given that he didn't want the Emperor or the kedan or anyone else to really be aware it was happening - considering Malicant can be anyone and also the Emperor is super suspicious 8TTT ANYWHO, SO THOSE PEOPLE HE TALKED TO ABOUT IT - I HAVE A PLOTTY THING.

Given that Iorveth sort of naturally leads units of people in his canon, he'd likely get immediately cracking on this and try to organize people to assist with it. He's super concerned about this and wants to figure out how to defeat this thing like yesterday, so he'll probably want to call up the people he spoke to (or write them letters because eff the network 8T), and try to figure out how they're going to do this. Especially now that he's hearing from Fenris that the turtle told him last time Malicant posed as a rebellion leader - and any of the authority figures in Keeliai could be Malicant. THE ENEMY COULD ALREADY BE AMONG US 8TTTTTTT So, so paranoid tbh.

I wanted to get an idea for who all would like to be involved in investigation, now and in the future of the game to try to uncover info on what they're facing. I've spoken to the mods and we've talked over the possibility of some people ninjaing into the Palace and snooping around in restricted area and maybe finding some clues within there, so would anyone be up for that?

It's moooost likely that you'll have to have been around for the initial post he made about it, because otherwise, he will not be saying shit about it in public. Maybe if you're new we can see if your character could have heard from someone else that he has info on the big bad they're facing?

Hmmm, Alcuin could be involved but he's not so good at physical stuff. However, he is really smart with an excellent memory and is really good at deduction and intuitive leaps of logic so maybe he could be... collating information or something? Also possibly snooping around to try and figure out who Malicant is? IDK how that would work though.

Snooping is exactly what iorveth plans to do to figure stuff out, so yes, that'd be awesome :3 organization data and the like would be cool, and if Alcuin has any stealth skills that would be great for ninjaing into places or just helping to look around for info. They'll also need a distraction to ninja themselves in, so if he has any means of doing that, maybe?

Plus she's still working on that whole 'recruit and train mages to bind Malicant if possible' plan. And she can read the kedan language!

Javert would snoop around... legally. That is, he might seek out the information if he got wind of Iorveth's plans and organizations, and in fact he might even do something if it were asked of him, but mostly it'd be for the public good. He does not trust Iorveth completely, remember.

Dorian knows Iorveth knows, he just . . . let Una get the information for him and waited for her to pass it on. Because that was way more fun. I AM NOT SURE HOW HE COULD GET IN. I would like him to though! He's invested in this. If he in any way heard it through the grapevine he'd possibly seek Iorveth out?

Actual skillset: he's already gotten lost in done unpermitted explorinatin' in the palace before, which I guess is helpful. Oh and if anything tries to kill them all you can toss him to it as replenish-able bait, hey.

Una is absolutely up for more investigation/ninja action/whatever. Count her in. She's an Action Girl in her native canon, with experience in both open diplomacy and sneaking around (and also disguise), so she's available to do whatever needs doing.

I wouldn't mind Zel getting involved, since he is keeping an ear out for strange shit since he wasn't able to get the information from Iorveth directly, but he's suspicious (moreso than usual). If he runs into enough false leads and happens to run into Iorveth when he's in a bad mood, you might just get him to demand to know what's going on.

Sadly, Tazendra will not notice until the fighting starts, or there's magical stuff going down, but that's okay, since her main use in an investigation is either muscle or 'person to manipulate'. Seriously, one of her friends once told her not to tell a mutual friend something, because he knew it was the best way to have the information 'accidentally' get to said friend, since Tazendra talks a lot without using her brain.

Hmm, demanding really won't go over well with him :'| People that have done that have gotten a straight up no and people who have threatened him have gotten a bring it. He's been tortured and threatened a whole lot in like a century of life so its not that effective D: The way to go about it more is to convince him you'd be both useful to the efforts and trustworthy enough not to share the information, their actions, or be upset at the 5 million illegal things he'll be doing.
