Itching to try out writing a character? Then rev up your engines, grab your accounts, and slam your way into this meme! Here is a venue for you to try out whatever character there might be tickling your fancy, from fandom to OC, for as few as one and as many as MANY. Seriously, there's no limit.

How do you partake in this fantastic congregation of character testing? Why, by following these simple steps:

1. Comment with the journal of a character you want to test; put their name and canon in the subject line for added sparkles.
2. Tag around with everyone!
3. Profit like you live on a the back of a turtle!

Please note, Wildcard options are also what you can choose to do if you aren't yet comfortable in the Tu Shanshu setting and would prefer a more 'dear-mun' esque experience. Please specify in your post!

The first comment/thread on this test drive is going to be titled ENABLE ME and it's where you post character accounts/muselists, etc and others (members, passerbys, shoulder demons) can enable you to apply to Tu Shanshu! [There's a brown-haired boy in his late teens in the marketplace right now, wearing the drab brown pants and white undershirt of an Army uniform circa World War Two, a little bag of groceries in one hand and some kind of strange native vegetable in the other, which he seems to be shaking rather viciously in the merchant kedan's face, and starting to draw attention.] Whaddayou mean one'a these coins for just one of these? That's goddamn highway robbery. You tryin' to gouge me, buddy?

[Someone might want to intervene before this comes to blows.]

[littlecousin]

[Nita will butt inhelp!]

Whoa, hey. That is not how you haggle, buddy.

[She knows; she's been getting lessons from the kedan.]

I ain't tryin' to haggle, I'm pointing out how these kindsa prices are extortion. [Shaking the item in question a little more furiously at the kedan before tossing it back into the pile. Excuse him, he's from an age where a nickel would actually buy you something.

But then he glances over at Namorita and actually gets a good look at her; predictably his gaze doesn't quite travel down to her feet yet. Oh there's that newsreel smile.] Just makin' sure no one else gets taken in by this fella's scam. [He knows all about scams, okay.]

[Wait. It's like she knows this guy--no way. Nita's eyes get really wide.]

Bucky?

[But you're 1. dead and 2. already here!]

[There's a twitch in his face that might be a touch of panic, because why do you recognize him but all he does is laugh a little, offering a hand to shake.] Sure, people used to call me that. Have we met? I think I'd remember a face as pretty as yours.

[littlecousin]

[Because she's hugging-level friends with all the surviving Invaders. Granted, that's a lower threshold for Nita than most people.]

We've never met. Namor's my cousin.

[In case the eyebrows and pointy ears didn't give it away. She takes Bucky's hand and shakes firmly.]

[Oh. Now he's noticing those things instead of just 'pretty girl', though he's very tempted to do a double-take at 'Namor's cousin'. That he was not expecting.

He steps a little closer under pretense of talking to a new friend, and lowers his voice just a little.] You're Subby's cousin? He never mentioned you, far as I know. Maybe I just didn't hear it in all the dramatic posturing. Never would've pegged it, you're a heckova lot easier on the eyes.

[littlecousin]

[She laughs.]

You must know how much he hates being called "Subby."

[Hence why he does it, she suspects. If anything, Namor must have been even easier to tease in his 20s.

She'll just blithely ignore the flirting and the explanation of how she was born in 1958 for the time being.]

[He just winks at that.] That's why it's fun. [He and Toro have a whole list of things to call Namor, not that they use many of them out loud most of the time. Fishstick is a favorite.]

Don't suppose ol' Fish-Face is around? [Not that he wants to see him, but... Well. Another Invader would be nice right now.]
