Finnick is totally his new bro, no lie. Fighting the zombies and Jack really appreciated how big of a leap that Fin took in trusting him and he wants to repay him for that somehow. He's starting to get a picture from the various Panem kids about why they are the way they are, so even though he doesn't know Finnick's story specifically, he doesn't begrudge that he can't see Jack. He'll be patient and go fishing wait until things happen in their own time.
