1) Right, these don’t replace character’s own abilities, these are a separate addition.

2) Each character will get a unique ability from one of the Talent schools, so no one will have the same as anyone else.

3) Yes, the native races to Khu Ioduan don’t receive Talents. The current speculation ICly by those races is that it is something to do with their arrival by the Dreaming, similar to how soul gems were attached to Foreigners on arrival.
