Marie had immediately regretted not just walking away while she could, but at first they just seemed pushy - and that was (in her mind) easy enough to deal with, especially when the wares were interesting enough. However, things had fallen apart as soon as she had picked up a random trinket and despite her putting it back onto the table in front of her - they had sprung and began to root through her bag and even trying to find what she hid on her.
A few of them had stopped long enough to seemingly admire what little their efforts had gotten them, even without knowing what they were doing or really saying well enough, it was their tone of voice that was the evidence. That was then she realized her knife was missing and she had begun to panic despite knowing better than to. An object, well, it was an object. Easily replaced. If she could only remember the amount of times she had to leave belongings behind in her life, she would probably go pale. But this was different. Different.
She was more than a little shocked to see a strange kid suddenly appear and try shooing the ones pestering her away and frankly a little relieved when whatever he had decided on doing had worked and the kedan had dispersed. She then finds herself staring blankly at Tony.
It takes her a few tries before she can managed a slightly relieved,"Uh, thanks..."
Then she takes a deep breath. "What...what was that about? You say it was just because they wanted to look, but I think I was almost pickpocketed because they thought I was going to buy something..."
