[Nor her, in fact -- while her French is quite good, her English is notably Australian-accented. A flicker of smile is her response as she helps to adjust her scarf, tilting her head so she can hear their footsteps more readily. It should be easy, really, to keep this up for a few minutes. Let the two ne'er-do-wells move along and find a new target. "Easy," however, is also not her forte, especially not when dealing with a pair of thugs, thieves no less, one of whom has managed to pilfer her gun, and almost more than that.

So, slowly, she turns to watch as they continue their search, seemingly ill-fated now that they've passed their targeted witness. A few paces away, and Phryne is breathing a faint sigh of relief.]

Your help was very much appreciated, sir. [Said with a small but chipper smile as she puts a hand out for her hat.] Not very dedicated, are they? I was expecting that to be a bit more difficult.

[That part is said quite critically...and maybe with a slight amount of disappointment. Nonetheless, she has subtly shifted her position, so she can watch them search the rest of the street. Why? Because she is, in a moment, planning to go after them. Of course.]
