Welcome to the bi-monthly edition of the CR Meme! It's been nearly a year since the Foreigners have returned to Keeliai!

For players who've joined us since our last meme, these ~bimonthly memes are our opportunity to help establish an idea of what sort of CR you're interested in for your characters in coming months. Because of this, we do ask that you be as specific as you can when replying to this meme! 'Our characters should team up to moon Tu Yunxu' is more useful than 'omg tag me.'

We have two helpful sections titled "Current Status" for a summary of what your character's been up to, and "CR Goals" for the plotting and discussion of gaps in your character's CR spectrum that you would like to fill! We've also got a section for indicating what kinds of CR you're especially looking for, as well as types of threads you're not interested in.

This round, we have a special section called TURTLE MOVERS, specifically for how characters are, or would like to, participate in the plan to move Asti to shallower waters and anchor him. More information can be found in the OOC posts HERE and HERE.

CHARACTER: Nymphadora Tonks /

CURRENT STATUS: Living in the hotel, mostly developing CR with Gene, Kitty, and Erskine. Coming around to the idea of being here indefinitely. She's also involved in one of Tony's plots.

CR GOALS: I'd like to settle on permanent employment for Tonks, preferably aligning with her previous job as an Auror. Other than that, I'm open to have her involved in other plots! I'd also like her to make more solid CR connections with a greater range of people.

TURTLE MOVERS: Tonks isn't involved in this.

CHARACTER: Wally /

CANON: Original Character

CURRENT STATUS: Wally is currently living on the streets because I have not focused on finding him lodgings, and he would not think to go to a hotel. He's planning a trip out to some mines mentioned to him, and will be contacting people soon to see if they want to join him.

CR GOALS: Like with Tonks, I want to develop more CR for him.

TURTLE MOVERS: The turtle moving effort was mentioned to him and Wally is interested to get himself involved. Thus far, however, he isn't doing anything. I'm keeping an eye out for posts about it.

CHARACTER: Milo /

CANON: Original Character

CURRENT STATUS: Literally just arrived. Does have some specific gimmicks that can be used for plotting, like his subconscious ability to give people nightmares.

CR GOALS: My dream CR would be for Milo to find someone to latch on to and follow around for the first few weeks, as he won't immediately trust anyone who isn't his own species. I need to find him housing and a job, and possibly get him involved in a plot that isn't something Tonks and Wally are already doing.

TURTLE MOVERS: I'm open to having him participate in this plot.

SCENE-DOS: I am down for anything, but prefer shorter tags to longer ones, mostly because lengthy log tags tend to take a long time for replies, and I have an attention span problem. That doesn't mean I'm not happy to do them, though. I don't mind slice-of-live, and I thrive on angst, romance, drama, and cuddling.

SCENE-DON'TS: I hate fight scenes against NPCs, and I'm not crazy about three+ person logs (mostly because of the aforementioned attention problems.)

ADDITIONAL: I'm not great at writing out all the things I'm doing with my characters. I really would like to develop more CR for all three of them, though.

And since I know that's not helpful:

I want to continue developing the funny Tonks/Gene CR. I very much want him to be her ~~sassy~~ deadpan gay friend.
On that note, Tonks and Jackie should meet! He'll make her a free drink, 'cause she's pretty.
Kitty and Wally should quest together to the mines!
Kitty should also bother Milo.
Milo and Deon might be interesting CR?

I've been meaning to follow up on Tonks and Solomon's first conversation but I think the last time I tried was at a bad time for you; would you like to try again?

Sol actually runs a PI-ish service on the side, to pay for his research--mostly looking for missings persons because they're the easiest for him to find with his magic (ie just look for the dead people and see whether they're one of them). Having someone around with more varied magic skills would mean he could branch out a bit, so maybe he and Tonks can team up on a case or something, see how they work together?

I think the PI business would be a good idea, but she'd need something steady, so it depends on how often he gets work and passes it along to her? I'd definitely like to try them working together on a case.

Pretty regularly--most law in Keeliai is upheld by the Snakes, so investigation services aren't very common and there's a large niche to fill. There are some kinds of cases Sol just can't take because he can't see, so someone he can refer the kedan to should net Tonks quite a bit of work until she's better-established to find her own. ~~Skulduggery will just have to deal with sharing.~~

Regardless, how would you like to kick off? In the middle of a case might the best way, since it cuts right to the chase and makes it less likely Sol being a creeper in their first conversation will be an issue.

To clarify, you'd like to handwave them having talked about it beforehand? I'm cool with it, just making sure that we're going straight to them working together. :>

Oops, no, sorry--I was thinking more them coming at the same case from opposite directions and getting thrown together by accident out of necessity. Tonks doesn't necessarily need to be hired before trying to check up on a weird thing, and Sol would be able to see how she handles right off, so it reduces the need for either of them to be convinced.

Ahhh, yeah, I get you! Yeah, that sounds like a fair plan to me. I don't have much of a handle on the NPC goings-on in game, but I imagine a vanished woman or something would pique her interest enough to go out and investigate if someone mentioned it to her. Yes, let's do that.

Excellent! Sol doesn't do much with the major NPC families anyways, its just the dearth of civil investigation that works in his favour. XD I can start a log for it, and we just keep those shenanigans in there, how's that sound?
