TEST DRIVE MEME - TU SHANSHU EDITION!
Itching to try out writing a character? Then rev up your engines, grab your accounts, and slam your way into this meme! Here is a venue for you to try out whatever character there might be tickling your fancy, from fandom to OC, for as few as one and as many as MANY. Seriously, there's no limit.

How do you partake in this fantastic congregation of character testing? Why, by following these simple steps:
→ Comment with the journal of a character you want to test; put their name and canon in the subject line for added sparkles.
    → Tag around with everyone!
→ Profit like you live on a the back of a turtle!
→ Maybe even RESERVE so you CAN live on the back of a turtle!
But wait, there's more! For the low, low price of $9,999.99, you can even use one of our handy prompts when you tag someone. You could even pick one with a Random Number Generator to help decide which prompt to go with!
  1. Haggling Over Something in the Marketplace!
Maybe someone else saw the exact same shiny thing you did at the exact same moment! However shall this be resolved? Remember: blood is extremely hard to scrub off of turtle shell!

  2. Dramatic Chase Sequence!
You're running away from something! It could be anything, from a rampaging kirin to a gaggle of overly enthusiastic children! One way or another, you can't stop, and much like a katamari ball, you feel obligated to grab everyone in your path along the way to keep them out of danger! Or perhaps you're more the sort to try and knock them into it as a distraction...?

  3. Where There's A Will, There's A...?
The Life and Dreaming Planes have been merged, and sometimes what start out as wishful thinking becomes lured into reality. That slick new motorcycle or pile of kingly treasure you were just daydreaming about? Surprise! Though it may only stay for a short while before it disappears again, so make it count. Hopefully you're not the type to daydream about terrible things befalling people you don't like...

  4. SECRET UNDERCOVER MODE ACTIVATE!
The three major kedan families all have their own agendas, and you've chosen to entangle yourselves with one (or more!) of them. Are you hoping to shift the balance of power? Gain some favours? Perhaps you're on a mission to bring a criminal to justice, or maybe you just want to get the cream of the crop from the black market.

  5. WILDCARD!
Go nuts. Suddenly your character is fighting dragons! Good God, they've found the Millennium Falcon drifting in the ocean! Do you really feel the need to polish every paving stone in the Earth Sector? Please note, Wildcard options can also be what you can choose to do if you aren't yet comfortable in the Tu Shanshu setting, and would prefer a more 'dear-mun'-esque experience. Please specify in your post!

[The accent means little to Zell, beyond it being different, but it's not enough to distract him from the more immediate issue of his having no idea where he is or how he got here, and that's troubling for someone already quite aware of his memory issues.

But for all that, for all his temper's been fraying to a very fine thread for too long for him to have been able to avoid the snap, he can't help but feel a little guilty for snapping, now he knows there hadn't been any ill intent in this particular stare.

Hard to tell it apart from all the stares that have been about how he looks and how obviously new he is, when he's not paying attention.

Now, though, he visibly deflates, running a hand through his hair sheepishly as he apologises.]

Heh, sorry about that. Just been a trying sort of day, you know?

[And that would be a blank look in response to the mention of the Welcome Centre. Safe to say he hadn't even known there was one.]

Oh believe me, I know all too well. [The sarcasm fades, and the look on Erskine's face becomes gradually more sympathetic.] I generally congratulate myself if I manage to have one that isn't.

[He sighs and scrubs a hand over his face.]

Right, well. If I knew how to get to the Welcome Center I'd point you in that direction, since apparently they're a font of useful information for new Foreigners. I didn't exactly make it there myself when I was new, however, and I haven't the faintest idea how to get you there.

[There's a pause]

Have you been told anything?

How'd you figure things out, then?

[Only once he's asked does Zell realise that it might not come across as he's meant it to. Obviously there's nothing stopping people figuring things out for himself - isn't that what he's been doing to this point, albeit not particularly successfully?]

I mean...just...you seem to know a lot more about this place...which makes sense if you've been here longer. Guess you wouldn't need a Welcome Center by now.

[Smooth recovery. Surely he'll never realise anything's been amiss...

As the question comes, he frowns a little and lifts his arm to let the dull silver band show; the gem for now is still covered by his glove.]

Only that I shouldn't pull this off and hurl it as far away as possible like I first wanted to.
