Accelerator will be accosted in the Wood Sector … several times. The first time, a branch large enough to brain someone will fall at him without warning. The second will occur near the tram-line, where a laden hoist of materials will cut away while he’s under it. The third will also take place near the tram-line; a rail-cart, the sort with hand-pumped controls, will careen off the half-completed rails and bear down on Accelerator without any indication it’s going to stop. If not stopped by Accelerator in some fashion, it will come to a halt by crashing into a building at the end of the lane and attract attention from the Metalworkers in charge of it, who will be highly confused as to what happened there. Finally, a male kedan, passing in the street, will simply try to bludgeon Accelerator over the head with a length of wood while snatching for his soul-gem, wearing a contorted expression as though torn between a kind of irrational frustration and an eerie blankness. The kedan, if fought for any length of time, will eventually shriek with rage and run off into the crowd, and be seen no longer.
