No seriously. Presea is actually 28, but for 14 years she's had a crystal attached to her that's (a) stymied her growth for those 14 years and (b) repressed most of her emotions. Which means that Genis falls for her (since she looks 14), but she doesn't really figure out why Genis is stammering all around her.
So even if it doesn't get reciprocated, that's totally fine. And if something does happen between them, I'd rather it not be explicitly planned anyway. It makes it all the more awesome. :)
