CHARACTER: Lois Lane CANON: DC Comics PERSONALITY: Abrasive, means well (usually), ethical, determined, reckless, insatiably curious, passionate, the best investigative reporter in forever (as she will tell you herself, and sadly it's approximately true). Oh, also she's married to some unimportant guy named Clark Kent--no biggie.
CURRENT STATUS: Suddenly taking a much larger part in the radio's management thanks to the console mess and apparently Malicant staying out of their airwaves for now. Being military brat and highly cognizant of war-time importance of the news, it have given her new drive--especially since now Clark's time is a little more limited. Other than that, same old same old. CR GOALS: New CR. Lots of it. A lot of her existing CR and from-home close friends are gone now; she really needs some more social in her life. A teen sidekick for News-like Shenanigans (a la Jimmy Olsen without his occasional pants-on-head) would also be fun? I'd really like her to have some females closer to her age (thirties, especially mid/late-ish) to bond with. Some things to investigate would be awesome--it's a little hard to play her, sometimes, when she's not Spy Infiltration-y or authority-ish but needs to poke around things.
Lastly: CR FOR THE RADIO. On behalf of both Al and myself, Evandau's made the announcement about the consoles and the marginally better security of the radio. We want to see and talk to you guys! Come drop by the radio, chat with them about whatever, use the radio to make announcements! It's a major IC tool. Let's use it. Also, anyone who wants to work there and tell stories, start a band, play gopher, whatever, making it into an actual IC thing would be tons of fun.
SCENE-DOS: Most anything goes; I'm pretty flexible. SCENE-DON'TS: She's avoiding the network for now. I'd prefer to avoid overtly negative CR for a bit, and serious injury is off the table. While Lois isn't antisocial, she doesn't exactly seek people out without a purpose, and very few people are 'just hang out with' types (part of why she needs more friends), so I really can't do meandering no-obvious-point-to-this threads with her.
CHARACTER: Gaius Septimus CANON: Codex Alera PERSONALITY: rrogant, impatient, short-tempered, compassionate, intelligent, generous, fearless (maybe too much so), bordering on but not quite entitled, strong sense of justice, compulsive fixer, driven nearly beyond sanity when given a focus, coldly pragmatic when the situation demands it, passionate. He is an overpowered and highly trained engine of destruction, with magic similar in results to either of the Avatars, and a deadly swordsman. Talented general and imperial prince (if a very dead one) still kind of pretending to be a doctor. Given his being bred, born, and trained to command he's also starting to veering in a slightly different direction he had been.
CURRENT STATUS:Commander Director of the hospital. Also, he may or may not be using it as a way to start slowly trying to organize people into a little more cohesive, competent, actually planning and working together bunch instead of loosely connected people who all kind of fight side-by-side but organization, what's that. (Superheroes, he really doesn't get your schtick.) CR GOALS: New CR. Septimus wants to start reaching out and networking--the metaphorical version, that is--to try to get things set up for some organization for when they finally come up with a way to take out Malicant. And I honestly and truly want him more involved on that meta-plot; unlike Lois, who's good at seeing ground-level parts as much as over-arching, Septimus has hit a character-arc point where just puttering around playing doctor will drive him nuts. And it will be frustrating, both player and character, if he doesn't get to get closer to that arc. Part of it has to do with his personal growth and what it seems likely to be doing right now. For developing existing CR, which I also want to do lots of, picking who to open up to and start talking about 'can we plan this future please.' Another CR note: he's lost his closest guy friend. He needs a drinking buddy and general 'hey, yep, guy bonding is a go' friend. Also, friends in general; as much as he's going to be meeting people and being friendly with them, he really needs people who are reaching out in return as well before he gets too far into 'let's try to get people organized' mode. I think I'd also like for him to start slowly offering training/practice working together with people, both to learn what they can do and help them find good synergy. Also, he just likes it, and teaching people and working with them makes him happy.
Also: CR FOR THE HOSPITAL! The hospital is a huge Foreigner-run, majorly important resource. Also, if you're sick or hurt, they're the people to go to. There are a lot of people who work there, too, and they're always happy to take more. Even more than the radio, it's a great tool for enabling CR for lots of people.
Also, anyone want him for a roommate?
SCENE-DOS: Most anything goes. Honestly, unless something really catches his attention, especially since Malicant's corruption he will not be touching the network (he's mildly technophobic anyway). So mostly logs, I guess. With the consoles now somewhat back up, he may use it for non-sensitive stuff more. But still mostly logs. And he is spending a lot of time at the hospital. SCENE-DON'TS: Long discussion before serious injury, absolutely zero death. Reciprocated romance is not happening (if someone wants a hopeless crush, fine by me; about time he talked about his wife anyway). Casual conversation is much easier with him right now, as he just wants to get to know who's around to fight Malicant; having a point is much better.
