CHARACTER: Armin Arlert CANON: Attack on Titan PERSONALITY: Armin, at face-value, is a pleasant young man with a curious nature. He's well behaved, almost to the point of being punctilious, and is generally kind. He's sixteen now, but he acts with much more maturity than someone would expect out of a teenager. Occasionally he can get dark or nervous (see: PTSD), usually because he comes from a very dismal canon, but he tries to stay positive about things.
Recently in his canon he's developed a really gross habit, sort of an unsavory mode we jokingly call Gesumin. You can tell when it's happening because he gets this really hideous look on his face.
Getting chased down by Titans? Distract them by dumping the corpses! Need to get the attention of the guy that’s holding Eren hostage? Tell (lie to) him his girlfriend is being tortured and it’s all his fault! The monarchy just won’t cooperate? OPEN THE GATES AND LET TITANS INTO THE INNER CITY!
The unfortunate side-effect of being the smartest one (in his canon) is that he’s also the first to come to the conclusion of terrorism. Armin has made it clear he’s not above getting his hands dirty and becoming a “monster” for a higher cause, and he’s been shown to go somewhat unstable when the stakes are high. So, he gets results, but those results will most often not be pretty.
CURRENT STATUS: Armin is currently rather lost and also very lonely. While he has remained, nearly everyone he has known or gotten close to in Tu Vishan has dropped off the radar. The purpose he used to have is unclear. And he can't find a place for himself in the new conflict that is unfolding, as he is generally outclassed by... well, everyone and everything.
I honestly don't know what to do. I've done pretty much everything I can. I hope maybe I can get some leads going here.
CR GOALS:ANYTHING. I literally have like, two pieces of CR left, I am in no position to care or be picky.
SCENE-DOS: What sort of things are you looking to write with this character? Are you a prose sort of person or action spam all the way? Do you prefer network interactions to face-to-face? Do you like angst, fluff, drama, plot-based scenes, all of the above? SCENE-DON'TS: What sort of things are you a little more lukewarm about in regards to this character, or would rather flat-out avoid? Do you absolutely hate writing negative CR? Would you sooner chuck you laptop out a window before you write one more slice-of-life thread? All those considerations can go here.
AS SUCH, THIS IS IRRELEVANT. :| I can and will work around anything. I'll just add that Armin is the most interesting when he is being challenged, either by people or his surroundings.
