That is a really, really good point you brought up and we mistaken glossed over it. I've edited the post but open or catch all logs count as threads and you can use multiples within that post towards the 20 comments. Only closed or locked logs use the initial post as the "starter comment".

We definitely don't want to penalize players who (myself included) find it easier to do a mass log for the month to avoid clutter in the comms!
