Seeing more Bruce's vulnerabilities made Tony more inclined to trust him. Not that he really had much problem with that, but it was kind of like proof that the weird faith he had in him upon meeting him was justified. And it let him be more open in turn. He's getting the sense that he can reveal his own vulnerabilities on his own, without having to wait until it happens out of his control. He could tell him about the reactor and kind of hint around about Afghanistan of his own volition. I think Tony's feeling comfortable enough with Bruce to kind of vaguely acknowledge to himself that he's closer to him than he is to anyone else. The only one he opens up to more than Bruce now is JARVIS, and he's sharing him with him too, which is HUGE.
