FRESH MEAT ALERT

Hey everyone! My name is Otter and I am 100% new to the turtle so I'm still kinda floundering around figuring everything out but HELLO!

I'm here with Armin Arlert from the canon Attack on Titan. It's an anime/manga where life sucks and no-one is safe. The setting is actually pretty complicated, but to sum it up, it's the Invasion of the Giant Naked Stupid Cannibals from the Uncanny Valley: It's the Dark Ages and Everyone Has PSTD Edition. We built some giant walls to keep them out but it didn't work. Now all of humanity is fucked.

If you really want to know more about it, read the settings part of my app in my account. Just be warned; there are spoilers.

Armin himself is an intellectual type that used to be a huge crybaby wimp, but he's growing out of that. Well, he's still pretty physically wimpy... He's got a big brain though, and he's not afraid to use it. And if you push the right buttons, he can go into INTENSE SHOUNEN MODE just as good as the rest of them. So watch out yo.

I'm coming in with a couple of castmates, who you will probably see shortly. We hope to convert every last one of you.

so after taking some extra time to recuperate and making a piss-poor attempt to try and figure out what I missed while I was away, (some stuff went down with ~realms of existance~, Tu Vishan's dead sibling, ghosts and also people got turtle eggs? Plus a buttload of new characters and players HELLO NEW PLAYERS) I think I'm ready to slam myself back into the game

I did want to bug people I currently have threads with though. It's probably not great to do it on the ooc, but I have a whole bunch of threads with people whose contact info I don't know and I just wanted to talk about wrapping up or handwaving threads that've gone unfinished (and ocassionally untouched) for just the longest amount of time?

This is Chel / vivider, current Bruce Banner. I dropped Raimei about a... week or two ago, idk, and uh sort of didn't get around until announcing it now. SORRY. I really appreciate everyone who tagged her, she just wasn't going to work out as a long term character.

Instead, I'm bringing in Willow Rosenberg from Buffy: the Vampire Slayer, who I've played quite a bit before and know I have some staying power with. She's coming in from immediately after the TV show ends (no comics canon for her, thank you) and is a nerdy lesbian witch with an altogether insane amount of power, and a minor addiction problem to black magic. Minor. Really.

She also tends to babble nervously, make pop culture references, and generally emote all over everyone in her general vicinity. Just don't hit her buttons and you have nothing to worry about. 8D

The sky is really the limit with what she can do spell wise, and she messes up frequently, so let me know if you want to do some kind of plot. Things she's done in canon include: making people fall in love, blinding, reading minds, changing physical sex, memory removal, truth spell... It's a REALLY long list.

Hello turtlings! This is Lena bringing in the fabulous Miss Penelope Garcia from Criminal Minds. Who will be royally freaked out because change is not her greatest love so please halp? I should be doing her IC intro sometime this evening.

I've been having major confidence issues with my other character, Westley, so I figure bringing in the world's chattiest muse who I have a good history with will help me get more out there. Garcia is pretty much the exact opposite of Westley: He's a double-talking pirate who dresses in all black and thinks a hammer and chisel is technologically advanced, she's a chatty hacker who loves funky fashion statements and couldn't lie to save her life.

ANYWAY. Garcia is known for her pop culture references especially when it comes to sci-fi/comics and stuff, so if you would mosey on over and fill out a very quick permissions post for 4th walling purposes, I'll know just how much she should squee over your character!

Hello hello, my name is Kestrel and I am brand new to this happy turtle land! Coming in with me is Yue from the visual novel/manga nobody's heard of, Akaya Akashiya Ayakashino! He's basically a sheltered sickly princess who as of his canonpoint has spent a total of...about two days being allowed outside his house. Which is a shrine! Because he was raised by a foxy shrine goddess and her team of ayakashi animal spirit servants. Also he's acting as a vessel for said goddess's brother, so you might occasionally find him holding apparently one-sided conversations with himself, if he thinks no-one's looking.

Also he has a vision problem where he can't differentiate humans who aren't particularly strongly connected to the spirit realm, so if you think your character might be an exception it'd be cool if you commented here!

Joan is a former surgeon turned sober companion turned consulting detective. She's loyal, intelligent, compassionate, and pretty fantastic all around. Even though she's no longer a surgeon, she's still quite capable and if someone's seriously injured, Joan has the skills to help out.

Well hello Tu Shanshu! My name is AmyJack and I'm some fresh meat bringing you Rapunzel from Disney's Tangled. For those of you not familiar with Rapunzel, she's a princess who was kidnapped as a baby because of her magical healing hair that glows when she sings. Of course, she has no idea she was kidnapped or that she was a princess, but that's not important now. Well, maybe it is, but oops?

Rapunzel had just left her tower-home for the first time in EIGHTEEN YEARS before she was brought her. She was pretty busy search for some awesome floating lanterns that she's been waiting her whole life to see. And also she was maybe, possibly, falling in love. So she's bound to be just little upset about the current circumstances. And just a tad jumpy about being in a new place, surrounded by strangers with no guide to help her anymore.

Isabeau is a demon-summoning samurai. Yep. She's quiet, direct, and prone to fangirling over shoujo manga. She can also use lightning-element magic, which of course means she's living in the Water sector.

Also, important, Shin Megami Tensei IV has only been out for a month and a half in the States, so if you don't want spoilers, please let me know here with your characters! I'm going to take silence to mean consent, so please tell me if you don't want any spoilers. In addition, she can summon Valkyrie, Dakini, and Jeanne D'arc. Donnie's a little shy little nerd, but he's a friendly and out-going guy all in all, but he can stress himself out a little too easily. He may not want to meet anyone in person at first since he's... well, a mutant turtle and all and he is used to keeping his existence a secret. But he'll get out of that phase eventually and he'll still be open to talking as long as no one can see his face. But don't worry, he'll come out sooner or later.
