Hello, Turtleites! It's that time again – that time being 'when the mods barge into your OOC comm with game-wide announcements'.
The Road So Far...
This post heralds a new feature to the game, a plot/event summary post that will be updated periodically! This is for newer players who are unfamiliar with the road taken in-game so far, or players who might not have enough time to keep perfectly up to date. This is a handy collection of all the plot related events, both OOc announcements and planning and IC posts, with brief spiels about what each event or post entailed.
Reminders
We're also here to mention a couple of things that we've seen slipping a bit to the wayside and want to remind everyone to please keep an eye out for.
Tagging Entries
First off, please please remember to tag both any entry that you make and any entry that you tag into with your character's post/thread tags (as appropriate). This is the number one way that we mods look to see what characters have been active where when it comes to deciding which angle to take our plot in. It is also the number one consumer of administration time, as up to half the characters that comment into an entry often do not tag themselves into the post.
This is an important administrative portion of the gameplay here in Tu Shanshu and is, technically, in the rules for everyone to do. Although we've tasked a helper with this endeavour, it makes everyone's life considerably easier when everyone utilizes the comm tags as they become relevant.
Post Formats
Please keep in mind that if your character is responding to a text-only post, they will not have seen or heard anything from the context of the post. Characters should not be getting visual cues from text or audio posts and doing so can, in some instances, put the other character's identity in jeopardy and/or be an instance of godmoding. Please pay attention to these details.
Additionally, when you tag into a post, please utilise the comment subject line to indicate whether the character is replying with text, video, or audio. This is to help the poster to know what cues their character can pick up from the comment when they go to respond.
