Hi everyone! My name is Alma and some of you might remember me from my on again/off again involvement here at TuShanshu. In the past I played Harley Quinn, Graverobber and Merle, but I'm bringing in a singular different character this time and keeping it that way for a while.

This time I'm bringing a book character your way, and she's one of my oldest muses, so I hope I treat her well while she is in my hands. This is Talia from the Heralds of Valdemar books series, more specifically the 'Arrows of the Queen' trilogy.

She's a Herald with the gift of Empathy, and just so happens to be one of the strongest empaths known in her universe of books (historically). What's a Herald, you ask? Well, a Herald is the keeper of the law in the land of Valdemar. They are given the voice of the monarch to keep the peace and dispense justice throughout the land. Oh, and as a perk of this whole Herald thing? They each get Chosen by a magical white 'horse' called a Companion and get dragged off to the capital city of Haven to learn what's what. They develop and instantaneous bond with their Companions, severable only by the death of one of the partners (ugh) or if ones Companion repudiates their bond (double ugh).

As an Empath, Talia's powers function as follows: She has the ability to read and influence the emotions of others. Talia is a STRONG mental projector and reader and uses her Gift while acting as envoy and adviser to the Queen. She cannot read minds, just emotions. 8D

Mind Healing: focuses on the maladies of the mind and emotions, rather than the physical well-being of the patient. She can ease the transition of mental illness and will be able to break through deceptions or see if the mind has been tampered with. She can restore the mind, though it can take time and prove quite taxing.

Talia can heal with her mind and read emotions, but she can also hurt with these same gifts. She broke the mind of a man that was known to be a child molester and made him relive the pain and emotion of his victim.

So, I've set up a permissions post on her page, which you can feel free and I encourage you to fill out. 8D It'll let me know where limits lie and whatever you DON'T want her to pick up on, or if your character has magical and/or mental shields around them. It'll also let her know if their minds have been tampered with, so that's another niblet.
