I guess it depends how he'd react/treat her? Because thus far he's just been a total asshole. So if he continues being a total asshole, but with that knowledge, then she would have a breakdown from feeling helpless/lack of control, etc etc. (which I would really prefer to avoid until she has actual friends, at the very least)
