Bruce didn't think too much about Kyle at first because he was still so off balance from arriving, but now that he's helped them with garden stuff and he's had Nita officially endorse the Green Lanterns et al, he's pretty appreciative and has a healthy respect for him.
He gets the sense of the Lanterns having immense power well managed, unlike him who's barely managing it at all in his opinion, and it makes him simultaneously curious and cautious. Curious because he wants to know the trick here, and cautious because, although people capable of standing up the Hulk do make him feel better, it also makes him wary that he could be boxed in and effectively caged.
