Javert's natural nosiness is going to drive him to explore Atam if he can help it - "as work permits," basically. He might go out on the hunt to fill his snuff box with fine-quality snuff. I am still currently hammering out what work he will be doing come landfall, as it largely depends on a thread I'm doing right now. HOWEVER if there are any enticing team efforts or if any of his CR do anything interesting, he might be along for that.
