Jeez, there's a lot of characters trying to put things together lately. I think that's pretty frickin' awesome! And if you haven't had enough already, here's another little PSA for ya:



Last week Hellboy put up a post trying to pick up where Liz left off organizing a Turtle version of the B.P.R.D. (Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense). Here on the Turtle, this organization will mostly be responsible for researching the nature of Tu Vishan, gathering information about the Emperor and the "enemy" they've been called here to fight, as well as coordinating response teams for any paranormal threat that may surface in the future.

If your character is interested, feel free to respond to Hellboy's post in the link above. And if anyone has any suggestion as to how we can make this idea a success, definitely let me know.

Chances are Hellboy will be setting up a tiny office in the Metal Sector, above a restaurant run by a kedan friend of his. It won't be much, but it'll be a start, and will make it easier for people to approach them for help and for holding meetings. I'll most likely put up a log this weekend for any volunteers or curious people to swing by while he tries to set things up.

Knowing Hellboy, this will be a very casually run organization where people can put their heads together, share the information they've gathered, and be there to do a public service for Keeliai as a whole. My hope is that they'll be able to grab some funding somewhere down the line and be able to actually employ people in the future, as well as provide research equipment and other various necessities to its members.

If you don't mind late tags I might toss Reid at Hellboy's post. I meant to and then life sort of. Did that whole getting-away-from-me thing. But I definitely think he'd be interested/want to help.

It's probably a good idea that they have a secretary or front-desk type person all the time for question fielding. Funding... (aha)

Hmm, you're right. I doubt Hellboy's actually going to be IN the office very much. Guy kinda has a hard time keeping still. Would be nice to have someone around to keep track of things.

And yeah, I have no idea about funding. I know Hellboy and Liz talked about it on Liz's initial post, but I'm not sure if that fell through once the project changed hands. For now they'll just have to operate on volunteers and favors.

Ororo could work a few extra hours a day to help cover the juulan for a front-desker, if needed. Mind, any claim that she's doing it to help's going to be shrugged off; she's just bored, obviously.

Volunteers helps weed out the profiteers, IMO. Keeps the agents and researchers to those that actually believe in something like that.

HB would really appreciate that, yeah. And it's true. It's nice to work with people who do it just because it's a good thing, but I know Hellboy would want to compensate them all for their time and effort in some way.

Maybe he'll just take them all out for noodles every now and then.
